For the independent learning project #2 I chose to design a Prezi. I have never created a Prezi, but I saw a few students projects when we presented and I thought it was worth a try. My experience using Prezi was great. It looks very professional and is more interesting than a PowerPoint, but it was very simple to make. I used a template that was already on the website and I just had to add text (I also added a video). Overall, I loved Prezi and I know that as a teacher I will use it more than PowerPoint because it is easier to use and it is more attention-grabbing. I think that Prezi gets the information across while interesting the audience.
I really like the background of your Prezi, it is very colorful and pleasing to the eye. I also liked how you embedded the video in there, it makes it easier to just have the video on their instead of having to click an external link. I would suggest making the font sizes a little bigger so it is easier for kindergarteners to read. Adding some more visual aids could be helpful as well!

DeleteI really liked all the colors of your Prezi and how bright it was. It was very appealing to the eye. I enjoy the video you put on there also, I think a classroom of Kindergarteners would be a great example. I think making the powerpoint more interactive would be more effective though. Adding more questions, pictures and also maybe an activity for them to think about how they are a good citizen themselves.
ReplyDeleteGood idea, Lindsey. I was thinking that I would ask them questions that are not on the Prezi I just was not sure where to write them since there is no note section like there is on PowerPoint.
